My Story
Hi, I'm Stephanie.
I got married young, became a mom young, and spent most of my life thinking I knew exactly what my future would look like.
I didn't.
When my marriage ended, I was 32 years old and had spent more than half my life with my husband. I was a wife. I was a mom. I knew how to build a family and take care of the people I loved. What I didn't know was who I was outside of those roles.
Instead of figuring that out, I jumped into another relationship. Some of those years were exciting. We traveled, had adventures, and made memories I'll always be grateful for. But somewhere along the way, I lost sight of who I was. I spent years escaping the life I thought I didn't want, only to realize I had stopped building a life that was truly my own.
I've made mistakes, learned lessons the hard way, and discovered that starting over isn't something that happens once. Sometimes it happens again and again.
Today, I'm building a life that feels like mine.
A life filled with travel, new experiences, time with the people I love, projects that inspire me, and moments that remind me to enjoy the journey while I'm on it.
The Scenic Route was created as a place to share all of that, the adventures, the lessons, the favorite finds, the places worth exploring, and the stories that happen along the way.
I'm still figuring things out. But that's part of the adventure too.
